The four story concrete and steel frame building consists of 75,000 square feet of usable space for 272 staff members. It is divided into eight departments, a permitting lobby, and the county hearings room.  The building also includes a 1.5 story parking structure.

Terra Architecture improved functionality through good design and attention to the subtleties of the county's processes.  The result is a spacious, comfortable, and functional space that is open and centralized, and better serves the needs of the county.

Terra orchestrated numerous energy, green and sustainable features for this urban project. Elements like the double tiered parking, which reduces surface storm runoff, and the solar trombe wall in the south-exposed stairway transfers heat to run air conditioning during July and August. In addition, Sunnybrook utilizes recycled finishes, passive solar ventilation, and a stormwater bioswale.
