On a steeply sloped and isolated site, this new center features many newer aspects of current pre-school curriculum. The facility is fully self-contained and provides exceptional community and parent outreach programs to ensure a healthy start for young children.

Working closely with both Lincoln County and the Community Services Consortium, Terra developed a functional design that included a commercial kitchen, classrooms, and administrative and support spaces. Full services ranging from schematic design through project closeout were provided.

Significant site infrastructure design was also required.

Several "Green" elements were also incorporated within the design. Stormwater is managed on site, as an educational trailway through forested property - ideal for a learning facility such as Head Start. The facility also utilizes recycled finishes and passive solar ventilation.
